I found a camera that i want. It's so beautiful that it brings a tear to my cold eyes. Maybe one day I will have $400 dollars to splurge on this delectable piece...

hey hey =D

Okay I've been very busy with my flickr projects, school and work! I used to blog on here everyday but it seems like it's a very rare thing for me now. I used to waste a lot of time on facebook but with the start of my MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY project I have found a creative way to spend my time. It's stressful but I like stress because it motivates me!! God knows I need all the motivation I can get haha.

Okay so I have a few ideas for the future that I thought i would share.
• My roommate and I are planning a PACMAN party!!! Just a regular party with that will include pacman cookies, a pacman cake, a bowl of cherries and strawberries. mmm delightfully fun!!

• I wrote a zombie poem a few weeks ago and I am planning on turning it into a zine. I will start illustrating it soon. I think I will hand out copies to anyone that is interested in it, but I will most likely make the announcement on flickr. So if you're on there add me as a contact and I will most definitely add you back =D

okay that's all I can think of for now!

post #51 for my MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY project.

IT'S DONE!! I've been working on this ALL week and it's finally done! I finished early this morning which was just in time to enter it to momentum along with my Death By Yarn series. I hope one of them gets picked!! If not then I will enjoy staring at this box of brain-yums at home lol.

Seriously I am NOT a painter and this was so complicated for me! I will say that the sculpey brains were actually kind of fun to make! Well I'm exhausted! I hope you enjoy looked at these pics!!

cupcakes are a hit!

Remember this picture?
Well tonight was IAO's "money talks art walks" event. Basically we could get in for free if we donated 2 pieces of artwork. Once inside you can buy a ticket for either $100, $75, $50 or $25 the more expensive round goes first and wait until their ticket is called and they can pick any art piece that they want. GUESS WHAT! mine went in the $100 round! Pretty exciting! I guess people really like their cupcakes =D

Here is the guy that bought it!!

action shots...

pictures of things i did

I'm not going to be updating this with EVERY flickr post since I have a widget that will do that for me (look to your left) so here are a few things that i made that i would like to elaborate on...

intense yes? I'm wanting this piece to be startling! it is a part of my death by yarn series which i hope to complete by tomorrow. I plan on submitting this photo along with 2 others to momentum okay I've never been the optimistic type so yeah, i highly doubt that I will get picked. that's fine though, at least i can say that i tried!!

cuz there are creepy people out there and you're on one of their blogs right now... =)

i went to the gray owl today and several other art galleries and this is how i felt--very very removed from everything. that's not say that i wanted that because i do want to fit in. maybe wanting to fit in is what causes me to be excluded?? hmm...

in between pages

post #6 for my 365 SKETCH project

i drew a bookmark that has been squished as a result of his line of work.

I then tried to laminate this with some clear packing tape. bad idea! i have so many bubbles as a result!

I also added a ribbon to him.

post #37 One Pill Too Many

post #37 for my Make Something Cool Everyday project.

I had planned this photo for some time now. It is a continuation of my DEATH BY YARN series

Today I crocheted a bottle that reads "take one pill" along with cap, 5 blue and red pills, and cut a piece of blue felt to represent water escaping a dropped cup.

i had taken many many photos and couldn't decide which i liked the best. I chose this one because of the low lighting. I think that suicide is a dark setting so the light should represent that. also the lamp was knocked to the ground too lol

post #36/365 for my MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY project

I don't know what my obsession over hands is really about. Maybe because I live in constant fear of losing mine? No hands= a life I would hate? Or maybe since they are so hard to draw I am trying to overcome some obstacle? Or maybe I'm just running out of original ideas??

post #35 for my MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY project

This piece, along with my previous piece will be donated to IAO Money Talks, Art Walks art auction which is approaching quickly!

I hope they don't reject it =( I'm a terrible terrible artist!! That's not to say I didn't have fun making this because it WAS fun!

serious work overload is a problem! Don't let this happen to you!

post #33 for my MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY project

materials used:
cotton swabs
polymer clay

Okay I'm not a sculptor at all but I didn't have much trouble with making these tiny ears. haha maybe because I went into this project expecting these to be a complete failure. expect the worse and when it's not completely bad, be pleasantly surprised??

okay time for a heart to heart

Well I know that I've been very informal on this blog and I apologize. This whole post is going to run together but if I give it any more thought I will just end up erasing this whole post...

Okay well I have finished one full month of my MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY posts and that I can say proudly =) I find that my mind becomes overwhelmed with thoughts constantly and I can finally channel all my built up thoughts into something coherent. I find that at work I can completely zone out and become completely lost in my thoughts. Nothing too exciting, usually just depressing stuff. The fact that I can successfully focus elsewhere has become a HUGE relief for me!! I find that I have become less angry this past month and I can actually walk with my head held up. I have always doubted anything that I've done creatively. very very rarely will i impress myself. very rarely! But i feel that i have given all my efforts into my flickr project and the fact that other people can say nice things about them makes me feel...good!

I've tried explaining the purpose of this project to my friends and co-workers and i get the impression that it is met with confusion. I've tried to explain that it's sole purpose is to force me to become creative. i am lazy. i admit that completely. But this past month has pushed me further since there is a daily deadline. I feel less afraid to share what's in my head. I'm tired of living in a box. i know that now.

i finally took the plunge and went pro today on flickr. yikes! me! the person who usually has 3 dollars(if that!) to her name spent $25 for photo storage!! Remember earlier when I fought this route? well I went forward smiling =) I am happy. finally. And all it took was me to make it happen! whew!

here is a freaky picture of my dog for laughs =) I know my iphone camera sucks. I plan on purchasing a real snazzy camera by next month. it's going to break my wallet but it'll be a worthy investment!

post #32 for my MAKE SOMETHING COOL EVERYDAY project

This little guy died in the line of work =( He erased just one too many times.

I plan on making a whole series of this concept of "Give me Stationary and Give me Death"

I also made this photo to add to the set. I have a ton of ideas already written down! I'm very excited =D

"A Life Cut Short"
